When The Wind Blows
The animated movie "When The Wind Blows", based on the comic "Gentleman Jim" by Raymond Briggs, tells the story of Jim and Hilda Bloggs, who live nearby London in the age of Cold War.Jim is worried about an nuclear attack and builds a very useless shelter. When the bomb is dropped over London they survive but don't think of the radioactive rays and get poisoned. Their confusion about their situation is sometimes kind of comedy than tragic. They think everything will be allright so they don't worry about their sickness until they start thinking about the unknown danger of radioactivity.
The movie was made in 1986 and if you watch it today you start to wonder why they know so little about nuclear weapons. But the movie shows the importance of being informed about these things. It shows that there won't be any war without nuclear attacks and that the civilization can't survive without the right know-how.
I would recommend this movie to everyone, also because of the artificial methods of animation.
